Raise your Hand if you Mop

I do laundry. I do dishes. I vacuum. I'm a great vacuumer. But, mopping? Mopping kills me! Why? I swear, I'd rather lick my shoe than mop. It's not like my floors hide it well either. UGh.

Is it like this for you? I'm probably alone on this one aren't I? Oh well. Any pointers?

I'm with you! Have you tried the Swiffer? I use the wet pads for mopping. It is so much easier! Me? I absolutely HATE to clean the toilets...and my shower!

My hate of cleaning floors turned into love when I got a hoover floormate. Seriously I love it. Whenever I finish cleaning the floors I love to grab a wet wipe and wipe a little spot only to find NO DIRT. Hip hip hooray!

Yeah, mopping is no fun. I usually do the hands and knees thing, which is probably why I only do it like once a month (when really it should be done twice weekly at my house).
I also despise cleaning the shower. The water runs inevitably runs down my arm! EWWWWWW.
I'm going to try the swiffer I think.

ok, i usually don't mind cleaning, but this is one that I absolutely HATE! I actually get down on all fours because it bugs me that a mop just kind of spreads the dirt around. I only do this once a week, if that, and with three kids I probably should do it at least 2 times a week. ICHY!!!!!

Hear, Hear! I detest both sweeping and mopping, don't mind to vacuum though. Thankfully, my kitchen is small enough to take a washcloth, drop it on the ground, put my foot on it, swirl it around a little bit, and then call it good! Okay, so it's not really cleaning, but it's better than nothing! I learned that from the FLY lady.

I am a Swiffer user!!! I love it! It is easy and fast. Really I hate, hate, hate mopping but now I'll at least do it once a week.

Sams Club (maybe Costco) carries starter kits for way cheap. Thats where I got mine.

HAPPY MOPPING :)

I love Swiffer as well. Before I would only wash it when I start sticking to the floor. Well maybe just before that point. But now I do it at least once a week. So much easier than getting down on my hands and knees. FYI Costco does sell the starter kits.

I did used to have a swiffer, but ditched it for the move to AZ. An ideas how they work on tile. Our grout isn't sealed-do you think the swiffer pad would get stuck on the edges of the tile?

Definitely looking into the hoover floormate, thanks sal!

I use my carpet shampooer on my tile. Works great and takes very little time!
